Frequently Asked Registration Questions:
Who can play? Boys and girls who are in grades 1-8 in the 2009-2010 school year may participate in MYB's Leagues.
Are the leagues competitive? Absolutely. MYB looks to make their leagues as competitive as possible. Depending on the number of participants, MYB will create leagues and league rules to facilitate the best competition among teams.
Where will we practice? Teams are ultimately responsible for their own practice arrangements. However, MYB will help those teams that need time in gyms find time to practice as best as possible. Once teams are created, practices will be discussed with any coaches who contact MYB.
When will we start practice? It is MYB's hope that we can start practice around the start of each league to allow all registrations to be received and processed.
When will we practice? Once all registrations are received and teams are compiled it will be at the discretion of the coach as to when and how long teams practice.
Where will we play? Teams will play at Mesa Public Schools campuses. MYB will make every effort to keep teams close to their home schools.
When will our games be scheduled? Once MYB has all registrations we will be able to schedule games. We anticipate that about one week before the start of games we will be able to get out a schedule.
Can my child play with their friends? Yes, on the registration form there is a place to indicate a preferred coach, team or friend with whom your child would like to play. MYB will do its best to accommodate all requests.
Can I register an entire team? Yes, the registration form has two pages. One for an individual payment and one to complete a team roster.
What size ball will we use? For grades 1-3, we will use an intermediate ball (28.5" circumference). For all other grades, we will use a full size ball (29.5" circumference).
